Silent Auction Bidding Begins
The Silent Auction to benefit the WSVMA Past Presidents’ Student Scholarship Fund starts at 12:30 pm in the exhibit hall and concludes during VetFest!

This year, the auction will have a gift basket theme. Use your imagination to create a truly unique basket filled with cool and interesting items. Examples of themes that were big hits in previous years include Wine Collection baskets, Movie Night baskets, and Made in Washington baskets. Have fun, be creative and as always, donated baskets are tax deductible. Join us at VetFest! from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the exhibit hall.

Exhibitor Social Hour & Scavenger Hunt

VetFest!
Enjoy a dog-gone good time at Friday evening’s VetFest! The celebration includes a spaghetti feed, ice cream sundaes and music.

Talent & Tails
Back for a second year is Talent & Tails, a popular showcase for attendees to share a talent, a funny story or a unique skill. Don’t be shy! Last year’s participants wowed us all and even brought a tear to the eye! Talent & Tails categories are as follows:

  • Talent (play an instrument, sing, dance, etc.)
  • Funniest Thing that Happened to me in Practice (share your cute, hysterical or touching story)
  • General (poetry reading, unique skill, etc.)

Talent & Tails is open to all attendees, kids too. Sign up to participate on the registration form or sign up at VetFest!

12th Annual Fun Run
Get your adrenalin pumping Saturday at 7 am for the 12th annual 5K Fun Run/Walk and 10 Mile Bike with colleagues, family, friends and leashed dogs along the beautiful Yakima Greenway. The course will start at Sarg Hubbard Park.

$10 donation benefits the WSVMA Past Presidents’ Scholarship Fund.

WSVMA Annual Business Meeting Breakfast
Begin the day with a 7:30 am breakfast buffet and observe the WSVMA “changing of the guard.” Dr. James McCutchan will be installed as WSVMA President and the annual budget will be ratified. Come get the day off to a great start!

Event included in Weekend Meal Pass.

Rabies Titer Testing
Rabies titer testing will be available in the exhibit hall on Saturday from 9am – 1pm. Sign up onsite. Checks will be made directly payable to Kansas State University.

Current President Dr. John Cannon will lead the celebration.

WSU Reception
The WSU College of Veterinary Medicine hosts a reception for conference attendees at 6 pm at the Running Springs Ranch prior to the evening’s festivities. Have a bite to eat, relax with a beverage and visit with colleagues before spending the evening at WSVMA’s Night Under the Stars Barn Dance & Barbecue.

Event included in Weekend Meal Pass.

Night Under the Stars Barn Dance and Barbecue
Fifteen minutes from the Yakima Convention Center and nestled between the Cascade Mountains and the Yakima Valley is Running Springs Ranch, a picturesque setting perfect for large gatherings in Naches, WA. Complete with a great red barn, lush lawns, a sparkling creek, historic buildings and room to run, Running Springs Ranch has it all.

Following the WSU Reception, we’ll enjoy a mouth-watering barbecue, complete with all the trimmings. Don’t worry – if you eat too much, plan to dance it off to the tunes of Gone Fiddling Again, a local bluegrass band who prides themselves on traditional bluegrass music along with some standards suitable for dancing. We’ll even have a caller for some good old-fashioned square dancing!

As the sun sets, you’ll spend the evening making new friends and renewing old acquaintances. So come enjoy and bring the family. Be comfortable, dress casually; cowboy hats and boots are optional and jackets are recommended.

Maps will be included in your registration confirmation and available at the registration desk and we’ll send out links to Google maps. There’s plenty of parking yet carpools are recommended.

This is a ticketed event.
